Local Area
The Lange region of Piemonte is a landscape of gently rolling hills, woodland and vineyards. Equidistant between the mountains and the sea, the area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of natural beauty.
The region is famous for its delicious wine and food – particularly cheese and truffles. Casa Luna is surrounded by delightful hilltop villages and small towns boasting wonderful family-run restaurants and food markets piled high with seasonal produce.

Historic villages and castles
There’s plenty of history here too: Piemonte’s rugged past, from Roman occupation to Napoleonic rule, can be discovered in the museums and literature of the region. The region is full of hilltop castles, many of which are open to the public.
Towns and Cities
The great cities of Milan, Turin and Genova are all within easy reach. Smaller, but equally enchanting are Asti, city of towers; Alba, the foodie’s paradise, and Cuneo, on the edge of the Alps. In Mondovì you can take the funicular railway with its stunning views to the ancient upper city. Still closer is Acqui Terme with its Roman fountain and charming cobbled walkways. Our own pretty local towns, Nizza Monferrato and Canelli, boast traditional markets and festivals as well as charming restaurants and shops.
Events and Activities
We love sharing our favourite activities in Piemonte, from beaches to restaurants or even ski resorts.
We can help you to arrange activities such as quad biking; wine tasting; tours of local wine cellars; cookery lessons; or a visit to a local hazelnut farm.
And for culture lovers there’s a range of museums, concerts, festivals and events throughout the year – including the Carnival of Ivrea, the Asti Paleo and the legendary Alba Truffle Festival.
