Getting here

The easiest way to reach us is to navigate to Gabutto Market, a garden supplies shop on the main road between Nizza Monferrato/Canelli. From there it is a 5 minute drive to our house.

Whichever way you approach, turn onto the small road beside Gabutto, signed Fraz Brusciati. The road is called Fraz. Quartino. It has a small car parking area with space for about 10 cars along the side of Gabutto.

WARNING: If Google or Satnav tell you to turn left immediately after this car park, onto a road signposted Pandora DO NOT TURN LEFT UP THERE!! There are two roads named Valle Chiozze which do not connect – and this is the wrong one. It will not lead to our house, even if Google promises you that it will! Ignore this turning and keep going along Fraz. Quartino.

You’ll pass a factory on the right called Elsy, opposite a red-brick house and small palazzo. Keep going for a couple of kilometres until you come to a point where the road splits three ways. The road you’ve been on bends round to the right. To the left is a gated private road up to a B&B called LaCova (you can navigate to La Cova on Google Maps). Straight ahead of you is a tiny narrow road – this is Valle Chiozze.

Go straight up this road. It’s very narrow, don’t lose your nerve, just keep going as far as it will take you – we are at the very end. You will go past a brick shrine on the left, over a small bridge, up the hill, past a white house on the corner (on the left) with a concrete parking place on the other side of the road. Keep following the road as it bends round to the right. Rounding the corner, you’ll see a large vegetable garden and another white house (on the right). Keep going up, past a yellow house set under the hill, (on the right). Then, at the top of the hill, the road levels out and you’ll reach a square red house with a pool in front and a tennis court up above. This is Casa Luna.

From Turin Airport (1 hour 20 mins)

From the airport, head for the Tangenziale (ring road) then follow signs to Piacenza onto the A2 autostrada

Exit the autostrada at Asti Est, (the second Asti exit) towards Cuneo, and follow signs to Acqui Terme, Nizza Monferrato and Canelli.

Keep following towards Nizza Monferrato, through San Marzano Oliveto to the village of Calamandrana. Turn left onto the main road. Gabutto will be on your right hand side – turn right immediately before the shop

From Milan Airport (1 Hour 40 minutes)

Exit the airport and follow signs to Novara and the A4. When you reach the A4, head west towards Torino.

Continue along the A4 to the A26 South, signed to Alessandria and Genova.

Exit at Alessandria Sud. After the toll, turn immediately right, signed to Nizza Monferrato and Canelli

Continue following the signs through Nizza and towards Canelli until you enter Calamandrana. Turn left immediately after Gabutto Market.
